Buffing and Polishing

With four hand-buff machines, Apollo Plating can buff/polish both large and small parts such as:
- Step Bars
- Brush Guards
- Window Trim
- Truck Bumpers
- Car Bumpers
- Fascia Strips
- Towing Components
- Exhaust Pipes
Over 10,000 square feet is dedicated to a
high-volume metal finishing operation. Apollo Plating has the ability
to achieve various brush and satin finishes on plated material.
Nickel Chrome Plating

Our Nickel Chrome Plating is the best in
the industry. Our process includes three layers of nickel and one layer
of discontinuous chrome. The first layer of nickel is for adhesion; the
second layer of nickel is for luster and corrosion resistance; and the
third nickel layer interacts with the microporous chrome layer to
disperse nature's corrosive action (rust).

Trivalent Zinc

Zinc plating is a valuable tool to combat the corrosion of steel. The
zinc corrodes before the steel does, allowing the steel to go unmarred.
A bond is created between the zinc and steel forming an iron rich
alloy. The process can be considered an excellent primer for paint
surfaces, with the paint protecting the zinc, giving a lasting
protection. Rust, which gets under paint films and lifts them from the
steel, will be inhibited from forming because of zinc plating.
Trivalent Chromate Plating is more
environmentally friendly than Hexavalent Chromate and provides
excellent corrosion protection. A topcoat (or sealer) can be added to
the plating process for added protection.
Rack Plating:
- No hexavalent chromium to handle
- Eliminates chrome reduction in the waste treatment
- Excellent bright color
- Manufactured under strict SPC monitoring
- Corrosion resistance with less than 5% after 150 hours neutral salt spray
- Exceeds 250 hours to white salts with use of topcoat
